Step 1 Making
Contact
Entrepreneurs may contact us by phone or e-mail and submit an executive
summary or business plan. The overwhelming majority of successful proposals
come from a trusted referral, such as our limited partners, other VCs,
attorneys, accountants and other professionals.
Step
2 Business Review
AHVP commits to promptly review and respond to every funding request.
If appropriate, we'll move forward by meeting with management to conduct
a more thorough business review. Companies should eventually be prepared
for significant due diligence, including management interviews, customer
references, product and business strategy evaluations, financial projections,
and outside party reviews that may include legal and technical assessments.
Step
3 Deal Negotiation
After due diligence and a joint commitment to work together, AHVP and
the company will negotiate a term sheet and work to execute a final
agreement. This stage may also include collaboration on building a syndicate
of other investors.
Step
4 Ongoing Service
Ongoing service is a cornerstone of our practice and a key to our success.
Using our established network of corporate leaders and industry contacts,
we play a vital role in recruiting key management and prominent board
members. We can also advise entrepreneurs on strategic and financial
matters such as mergers and acquisitions, additional financing and an
initial public offering.
AHVP also offers
complimentary consulting services by an organizational psychologist
and human resources professional who is committed to nurturing your
company's growth. While guiding a company's success, our professionals
become partners with management and typically assume a board position
until the company reaches investor liquidity.
